Local Courthouse Information
United States District Court, District of Arizona – The Sandra Day O’Connor U.S. Courthouse is located at 401 W. Washington Street, a ten-minute drive from our office. The Phoenix Division covers Maricopa, Pinal, Yuma, La Paz and Gila counties. Phone: 602-322-7200.
United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Arizona – The U.S. Courthouse and Federal Building is located at 230 North 1st Avenue, less than half a mile from the federal district court. The Phoenix office does not accept cash. Filing fees must be paid with either a cashier’s check or money order made payable to US Bankruptcy Court. Other fees may be paid by cashier’s check, money order or credit card.
Maricopa County Superior Court – This is the general jurisdiction court for Maricopa County. The superior court maintains jurisdiction over cases and proceedings not given exclusive jurisdiction to another court, including certain equity cases, criminal cases, evictions, probate, divorce and other matters. Arizona Supreme Court – The state’s high court is located at 1501 W. Washington Street. The phone number is 602-452-3300.
Phoenix Municipal Court – The Phoenix Municipal Court is the state’s largest limited jurisdiction court and is among the top ten busiest municipal courts in the United States. The Court handles cases that range from minor traffic violations to Class 1 misdemeanors carrying a maximum penalty of six months in jail and a $2,500 fine. Annually, the court processes approximately 250,000 charges including approximately 80,000 criminal charges.

Golfing – The Phoenix Country Club, a frequent stop on the PGA tour, is just down the street from our offices. Other nearby golfing opportunities include two PGA courses at the Arizona Biltmore. If golfing is your game, you can find more than a dozen different courses to suit your needs all within a short driving distance.
Pro Sports – Phoenix hosts teams in several major leagues, including the NBA Phoenix Suns, the NFL Arizona Cardinals, and the MLB Arizona Diamondbacks, as well as the WNBA Phoenix Mercury and the AFL Arizona Rattlers.
Cultural Activities – Phoenix is host to a variety of museums, live theater, botanical gardens and more to enrich your stay.
